They all had great names, too.Pam https://www.blogger.com/profile/05979446142128610261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4011926663070554423.post-52105863761773107562012-06-11T09:35:19.565-07:002012-06-11T09:35:19.565-07:00Having lived in So Cal I was glued to the tube whe...Having lived in So Cal I was glued to the tube when roller derby came on. Also a banked track and lots of elbows. Definitely a banked track and they very seldom stopped the game for anything unless it was an extremely serious violation of some kind or a serious injury. Not anything minor like an elbow. A lot more fun than such a carefully controlled, patrolled game.Jim and Sandiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16108729200561576870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4011926663070554423.post-41609416768380287592012-06-11T02:49:57.163-07:002012-06-11T02:49:57.163-07:00Boy this brings back memories, who can forget the ...Boy this brings back memories, who can forget the likes of Sally Calageras of the Bay Area Bombers. Remember the movie with Raquel Welch. If that didn't start the on rush of Puberty nothing did. I'll bet it would have been more fun if the track was banked and the spirit of the old teams were there. Back then there were lots of elbows - allowed or not. But I think a lot of it was like wrestling - just a show.Donna Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06161069942110860372noreply@blogger.com
