For You Birders

A few months back, I remember reading on someones blog (sorry I don't remember where) about a film that was being made that was all about the folks out there who love watching birds.

Today at Redbox, we saw "the Big Year". Starring Owen Wilson, Steve Martin and Jack Black, we found it really entertaining. While these folks were a bit more dedicated than us (actually, a LOT more dedicated) we found a lot to relate to.

If you're at all into watching our feathered friends, check it out.

I think you'll like it.

A Day in the City

.
A day in San Francisco,
made even better
by darn near perfect weather.

A visit to the Walt Disney Family Museum.
Good thing I'm not still collecting,
these would have come home with me.

The lecture hall,
the old gymnasium at the Presidio.

I love the windows in this building.

When we left, we saw this fellow
and his ten charges.
All perfectly behaved,
what a bunch of swell pups.

I can't seem to take enough pictures
of this bridge.

To me,
it's the most graceful span
I've ever seen.

As you drive around the city,
parts of it pop up
wherever you look.

A different view.

Looking across the bay.

Again, my bridge.

A panorama,
(I love my iPhone).
Best viewed at a larger size.

Truly, perfect day.

Filoli and WARNING Too Many Pictures

.
A lovely day at Filoli.
Even though the daffodils weren't really popping yet,
there's so much to look at.

It was a perfect day.

The first group
are mostly of the house and grounds.
I've ended with a ton of flower shots.

My apologies,
there are way too many pictures in this post,
but it's a memory for me of a wonderful day.
And I'm too tired to add thoughts on each shot.

As they say
A picture's worth a thousand words,
so here goes.

Now I'm off to bed
since tomorrow will be another busy day.
