A Day at the Park

.
Since I've gotten my limited Golden Bear Passport, I've been spending more time at the local state park (Henry Cowell State Park). Not only is it a beautiful spot to hang out, but they have free wifi!

Today,
it was kind of off and on rainy.
Needing to get out of the house,
I went over to the park to shoot a few pictures.

I'm still trying to perfect my bokeh.
I've found it easier when I shoot from a distance.
I was about fifteen feet away from this branch.

Once again, I shot into the sun.
There were motes in the air that sparkled.

I love the moss on the trees.

Then there was this.
Baby moss.
Hoping to grow into a tree.

Spider webs.

Raindrops.

The light through the trees was perfect.

This final shot was taken with my iPhone
using a program called AutoStitch.

I think it should be called MAGIC.
You snap up to nine pictures,
then right before your eyes, it creates a panorama.

and you'll see how clean this panorama program works!

I think that I'm finally better, I'd say at least 90% with things looking better every day. Terry is also getting better, a slow road, but he's probably at 70%. His hasn't lasted near as long as mine, so maybe there's something to this zinc thing?

Glad you're feeling better. Your pictures are lovely... I like the ones with the sparkly motes and spider webs. You're right... it's magic!

Great pictures, all. I really enjoyed the panorama. That's a pretty cool feature. Hope Terry is feeling a bit better now, too. Happy Valentine's Day to both of you! Love you guys.

Everything appears covered in lush vibrant Green. Love it! The light really brings out the magic.

I take many panoramas and stitch it on LiveGallery. Don't know if my droid camera does that. Probably an app for that.

Sure glad you're both on the mend.

Thanks for the app name, I did a search for it on the Android market and came up with a tool called Photaf Panorama.

Will try fiddling with this to see how it comes out on my Thunderbolt :).

Really nice shots Kate.
I wish we were closer, that's a great Park for shooting.
To answer your question, I just sharpened the first one a bit and cropped them. Pretty much straight out of the camera. Yup, I'm still on auto-pilot...(:0)
