Back to Photography

.
While we're not REALLY done with the living room yet (still some reorganizing to do) the call of photography beckons.

I have to admit that I am this close to ordering a new camera. After studying all the options, I think I'm going to for for the Canon 7D. More money than I planned, but if I look at my photography expenditures over the last five years, I seem to move up in tiny increments.

Maybe it's time to take the plunge.

One benefit of being here at Bosque del Apache is the plethora of photographers, both professional and hobbyist. After talking with a great many of them, I'm confident that this will suit my needs for years to come (famous last words, I know).

ANYHOW, today, I got the chance to take some photos with a Canon 7D and I hate to say it, but I think I'm hooked.

In no particular order, here are the shots I liked, for various reasons.

I'm always a sucker
for a sunset.

This rusty can caught my eye,
a quick click
and something about this shot
really appeals to me.

This camera is VERY fast.

Maybe I'll go minimalist.

These trees are all over
here in San Antonio.
I love how they look
at sunrise and sunset.
(Remember to click to enlarge)

This camera
perfectly captures
crisp clean lines.

This was Photoshopped
pretty extensively,
but I really liked the composition,
so I felt it was worth it.

One final sunset shot.

I think this camera may be the one.

Beautiful shots. Looks like the camera and you will get along very well.
Love the picture with the sliver of the moon and the birds.
