the 4th


As always, we watched 1776, simply the very best movie about the creation of the Declaration of Independence ever made.  If Ben Franklin wasn't just like Howard da Silva, then, by all rights, he should have been. 

If all history could be portrayed in this manner, maybe we'd all be a bit more aware of the events that shaped this country.

1776 brings the whole scenario of the creation of the United States to life in such an impressive manner; serious, humorous and deeply political in the best way, if you've never seen it, make sure you do.

Tonight I'm going to go watch fireworks, and hopefully I'll get some good shots.  For me, fireworks are so awe inspiring, it's exciting to think I might finally get some good pictures.

Now I'm going to have to see that show. Never have. I love pictures pictures of fireworks but I'm not a fan of all the noise. So we will stay home and watch them on TV.
