While I can't always write a lot every day, I have a huge backlog of photos that I'd like to have catalogued online, so I figure this is as good a way as any.

Last year, we spent a few weeks camped at Sugarite Canyon outside of Raton, New Mixico. It is one of my favorite memories, such a lovely spot. One morning, I got up to see the sunrise and took a hike up the mountainside. I saw this little ladybug sitting on a dappled leaf and was lucky enough to get this shot.
