Another blogpost about iPhone/iPad apps.
One thing I'm always interested in is what kind of cel/internet reception is available in different locations. Even though we're not on the road right now, I still like to know what kind of reception I can expect (especially since I am sometimes using a Verizon MiFi for internet).
I've played with several apps, but really they're mostly nothing more than the maps you see online at the carriers site. But now there's an app called Coverage? (currently on sale for $.99). It uses a unique overlay type of mapping system, and shows AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile. Not only does it show carriers, but it also splits the maps into 2G, 3G, 4G and roaming. I like that you can look at more than one carrier at the same time (we have both Verizon and AT&T).
I'm not sure if it's available for the Droid, but it's a very cool app that I can recommend for all IOS devices.
And the pictures?
They're ones I've already posted,
but manipulated on the iPad.
(As always, click to enlarge).

That's it for today.

and may actually venture out tomorrow.

Very nice collage; I especially like the old-timey look of the one at the top.
Glad you're feeling better enough to consider going out tomorrow.
I have a droid that drops my hotspot as often as a hot potato. Funny, never did that last year when I was parked in the same place.
Love what you did to the beautiful landscape shot.
Glad you're feeling better. Hope the weather continues to improve. It's raining up here, but we're considering a quick trip up to the Portland area, maybe tomorrow. If we can't see sunshine, at least we can see family...and that always brings some sunny feelings! Love you both. Take care of yourselves, and keep feeling better!
You might also like their app State Lines that details various laws and info unique to each. Helps to know info about towing, cell phone use while driving, speed limits, gun carry, etc, etc when traveling through. BTW these apps are not available for Android.
