the Three Ravens

.
We've been staying in the small town of Tierra Amarilla. When I say small, I mean truly small. Both Terry and I just love these tiny New Mexico towns, they are so unlike any we've ever experienced before.

The town boasts a rich history and as we spend a bit of time here, we enjoy the ambiance unlike any we've found before. Tierra Amarilla consists of a church, a courthouse, a smattering of government buildings, several small cafes, and truthfully, little else.

Still, we love it here and are taken in by it's warm people and rustic charm.

So you can imagine how surprised we were when we came upon a small coffeehouse called the Three Ravens.

Wow!
All of a sudden
we felt like we were back in California!

Beautifully furnished,
it was set up as a place for music,

as well as boasting
a selection of lovely antiques,

beautiful hand made drums,

artwork,

and orchids

and we were even treated
to an impromptu concert by the owner.

The sandwiches were good, the pastry sublime and the atmosphere warm and friendly. If you find yourself in the area, I recommend you stop by.
