Weaving Part One

.
Just a quick post as we're off to our second class in just a few minutes.

Yesterday was really instructive. We learned about warp and and weft, how to wrap a warp board (sorry, no pictures, I was trying to learn), and how to thread a loom with a dummy warp already attached.

Confused yet?

So were we, but it's coming together.

Today we learn to beam the warp and begin weaving.

We think we have our blankets planned, but who really knows?

Last night was beautiful, we continue to enjoy the ranch and the horses seem to love Cholula Red.

Hopefully by the next post, I'll have some photos to show you our beginning masterpieces and a bit more of life on a northern New Mexico ranch.
