On the Road Again . . .

.
Well, sort of.

We've moved about 80 miles west of Santa Fe to Abiqui Dam. It's a beautiful campground with stupendous views.

That's us in the lower left.
As always, you can click to enlarge.

We're right in the neighborhood
of Ghost Ranch,
but the campground here
is much nicer
so we've decided this is the best place
for a short stay.
We do have a fine view
of the red cliffs of the Ranch.

Like everywhere else in this area,
we have views of Pedernal.

And just like last year,
I feel compelled to shoot
this majestic peak
again and again.

Shortly after our arrival,
we had a sudden downpour.
If you stay here long,
you come to appreciate
the summer monsoons.

A Slice of Sky

After the downpour,
I took a walk
and got this shot of Pedernal

I couldn't resist
just a bit of colorization.

Then just a few minutes later,
this popped up.

I'm going to like it here.
